Support Center is looking to attract a diverse group of first-time Executive Directors looking to enhance their leadership and management acumen and join a cohort of talented individuals at a similar point in their careers.

This highly interactive three-day “bootcamp” consists of content informed by research and experience and is designed to help you advance your skills in:

  • Executive leadership and management
  • Fundraising and development
  • Strategy and partnerships
  • Risk management
  • Board governance and relations
  • Financial management
  • Organizational growth and development

DATES: The Institute will be held over three consecutive Tuesday afternoons: April 9, 16, and 23 (Attendance is required for all three afternoons.)
TIMES: 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm Eastern, each Tuesday
LOCATION: Virtual. All programming, unless otherwise noted, will take place virtually through Zoom, and a recurring link will be provided to you prior to each session.
TUITION: $750. Partial scholarships available on a case-by-case basis.Tuition payment must be made in full by the first day of the program upon invoice receipt.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, March 15, 2024

Applications will be reviewed and admissions decisions will be made on a rolling basis until March 15th. Since the admission process is rolling and the cohort will approach capacity over time, we encourage interested applicants to apply as soon as possible.

APPLICATION PROCESS: Please submit a resume and cover letter via this portal. Cover letters should be addressed to Gloria Ramón, Director of Capacity Building. In order for your application to be considered, your cover letter must respond to the following questions:

  • Why would you like to attend the New ED Institute?
  • Where are you in your career trajectory such that you believe you are a good fit for the program?
  • What is your vision for your organization over the next 3-5 years?
  • What are some specific topics about which you would like to learn during the Institute? (e.g. advocacy, partnerships, fundraising, organizational development, risk assessment and management, board governance, capacity building, etc.)

ADMISSION PROCESS: All applicants will be notified of their application status no later than Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Applications will only be accepted online. Admission decisions for this program are made on a competitive and rolling basis.
